25 And Counting

Well.... what to say, 25 weeks. It feels like it has gone by so fast yet so slow all at the same time.  So far I have enjoyed the pregnancy.  Things are starting to get harder to accomplish and it is getting harder to move.  I haven't gained much weight so everything is baby.  The feet have been in my ribs for some time now and I have to say that is one part that I will not miss!!  However, with each movement, the more excited I get to meet the baby.  25 down, 15 to go!!

Camping

This year for our anniversary, Dylan and I decided to go camping for a few days.  It was our chance to get away from the busyness of our lives and just spend some time by ourselves.  So we packed up the Tiguan and headed to Jasper for four days.  It was cold and rainy but we fought through it and had an excellent time!  We got to see a lot of many amazing sights, scenery, and animals!  One day we were driving through the town and right outside the RCMP station, there was a huge elk standing there grazing.  We got some good pictures of him up close as we drove by!  We also had another incident in our camp site but only with a bear instead.  We were sitting there eating breakfast, and our neighbors pointed out the fact that there was a bear just right next door.  So of course I got out the camera!!  We also made many stops around the area so I included just a few of my favorites.  Our time was amazing and it is always a good reminder to see all of God's beautiful creation!

Visiting

From July 2 to the 4, we had some special company staying with us.   Sylvia Pearce, the lady that we lived with in Australia came for a visit.  Although our time was brief we had an excellent visit.  We did a little bit of touring the area which included a trip to the Finnigan Ferry and the area around there.  Yes to most people in our area they would think that the main attraction would be the crops but it is amazing how different the scenery is from here to Australia.  We even got to take in a stock car race in Medicine Hat.  Among the tour we stopped to show her the feedlot that Dylan works at.  From our eyes, it is completely different from the feedlot that Dylan spent so much time in while we were in Australia!  On Sunday we had our VBS closing program followed by the annual Sunday School Picnic so we got to introduce Sylv to many people that we know and love.  Having her here gave us the opportunity to introduce her to the food that we missed while we were gone including, homemade sausage and wiener roasts.  Thank-you Sylv for coming down and we hope that you enjoyed your time here with us as much as we did!
